Meet Master Han

Head Master Yong Han was born on July 20, 1969 in Chungsong, Korea. His father passed away when he was 5 years old. At the age of eleven his mother enrolled him Taekwondo to make him strong with hopes that he would not be bullied in school. Master Han tested for his first black belt at thirteen years old, and under the guidance of Grand Master Chung Sun Choi, he continued to thrive and steadily advance. For the first 15 years of his young adult life, Master Han worked tirelessly as a paid instructor while also running his own studio. As he exhausted all his young adult life, he decided to emigrate from Korean to the United States in other to achieve his new goals.

In March of 2001 Master Han came to the US to work as a paid instructor in Moorpark, California. He worked tirelessly 6 days a week and did not allow his meager circumstances to deter him from his ultimate desire to have his own Taekwondo school. On June 16, 2008, Master Han realized his dreams and opened Dragon Han Martial Arts Center in East Palmdale, California.  And in January of 2011, he opened the second Dragon Han Martial Arts Center in West Palmdale, California.

Master Han’s journey began as one to continually improve his own life. Today he is considered a pioneer of Martial Arts in Palmdale, and is one of the most sought-after leaders in the industry. He has given his dedicated staff the mission of continuing the legacy that is Dragon Han Martial Arts Center for future generations of Martial Artists: to improve everyone’s lives. Master Han has overcome obstacles that many have not had to endure. The perseverance he has demonstrated in his life makes him uniquely qualified to say “You can do anything if you have enough desire and a realistic plan.”
